You will find us in a very special 300 year old Pub on the river Thames, re-designed to lead the way in the 21st century with some serious eco credentials. Heated by Biomass, in the winter patrons enjoy taking off their shoes to feel the warmth of the under-floor heating as they cosy up in front of the open fireplaces. In the summer it’s cool river side terraces attract a wide range of clientele - boaters, Thames path walkers, adventurers, cyclists, and of course our local villagers and anyone passing by who is stopped in their tracks by the special nature of this place.

We currently operate the successful 'Maybush Weddings' on the adjacent field (currently the pub operation is out of our hands) but we are ‘getting the keys’ to the pub this summer and look forward to shaking things up with a focus on delighting our future guests. The pub will undergo some refurbishments and we will be operating a ‘pop up’ outdoor food festival during this time. Our outside events bar and catering teams are going to be putting on a fun filled few weeks with live music, festival bar with great local beers and a delicious menu cooked and flavoured over wood fire from our street food kiosks and food trucks.

Our Eco friendly credentials will increase as renewable energy is harnessed throughout our daily routine. We will be adding a charging point for our electric vehicle and customers electric cars while they dine. Much of our ingredients and produce will be collected by cargo bicycle from our neighbouring farms. Even some of our menus will be made from homemade paper which we make from recycled packaging infused with seeds and flowers from our gardens. Wood fired cooking uses a renewable fuel source unlike gas and as well as being good for the planet, its seriously good for the taste buds too.

Our quality and a conscientious approach in everything we do will be just part of the picture. ‘Hygge’ is a term our Scandinavian friends have introduced to British culture and we plan to share ours in spades with our guests.  Simplicity and an enjoyment found in a closeness to nature is a theme that we will bring to the menu and can be experienced further in our accommodation for overnight guests. Closer still with our stand up paddleboards, especially if we hear a splash!
